Description Apple ‘Ashmead’s Kernel’ A medium sized apple which has light greenish yellow skin which is covered with yellowish brown russet. The flesh is yellowish, firm, crisp, juicy, sugary, and very aromatic. Beautiful flowers. It picks in October and can be used from December to May. (Gloucester c. 1700). Flowering Group 5.
